A complete Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint side scraper. It is formed on a broad secondary flake, which still has a very small amount of cortex on the right side of the distal end. There are small patches of sub-parallel, low angle, very fine retouch along the right edge of the ventral face creating a serrated effect. It has a broad butt and very prominant bulb of percussion. Acomplete flint core of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. It is roughly semi-circular in shape with cortex still covering the ventral face. There is no obvious butt and bult of percussion, suggesting that it was formed on a natural fragment of flint. The dorsal face is highly convex with small, narrow flaking scars running inwards from the centre. It appears to be too crude to have been used as a scraper and instead seems to have been a core from which small flakes were produced.
