Flint extended end scraper. The ventral face is smooth and slightly convex. There is a small flaking scar close to the bulb of percussion, but this has not been entirely removed. The dorsal face has two large flaking scars on both sides and a flat surface at the proximal end. The distal end has semi-abrupt to abrupt, invasive, subparallel retouch. The flint is dark grey-brown in colour, mottled with lighter patches. It is likely to date to the late Neolithic/Bronze Age. Length: 33.4mm, Width: 25.6mm, Thickness: 11mm Weight: 9.4g

Small flint extended end scraper. The ventral face is smooth and slightly convex. The dorsal face is slightly concave and has one large flaking scar. The proximal end is rounded and flattened. The distal end has semi-abrupt to abrupt, short, stepped retouch along its extent. The flint is dark grey-brown in colour, mottled with a few lighter patches. It is likely to date to the late Neolithic/Bronze Age. Length: 25.5mm, Width: 24.4mm, Thickness: 8.9mm Weight: 5.4g

Possible flint end scraper, made from a secondary flake, of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age date. The scraper is sub triangular in form. Cortex covers the lower portion of the left-hand side of the dorsal face. The dorsal face has four larger flaking scars, with a series of five smaller ones at the distal end. The distal end also shows signs of possible slight, short, scaled, semi-abrupt retouch. However, this may also be attributed to plough damage. The flint is dark grey-brown, with lighter patches in places. Length: 31.29mm, Width: 25.60mm, Thickness: 10.15mm Weight: 6.96g

Possible flint end scraper, made from a secondary flake, of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age date. The flake is roughly wedge shaped, wider at the distal end, before narrowing towards the proximal end. The ventral face is uneven with three large flaking scars. The proximal end is stepped, with a few, possibly deliberate, removals on the left-hand side. The proximal end of the dorsal face still has a portion of cortex remaining. The dorsal face has one large flaking scar, with a further one forming the left-hand side. The right-hand side is very uneven. There are a series of possible l…

Flint scraper, created from a secondary flake, probably dating to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age. The ventral face is convex in shape with a prominent bulb of percussion and a fairly small striking platform. The dorsal face is also convex, with a large flaking scar on the left side and several smaller ones on the right. A small amount of cortex also remains in place around the middle of the right side. A small amount of long, scaled, semi-abrupt to abrupt retouch may be seen at the distal end of the dorsal face, extending down the right side sligtly. The flint is brownish in colour …

Large flint thumbnail scraper, created from a secondary flake, probably dating to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age. The ventral face is convex in shape with a small bulb of percussion and a fairly large striking platform. The dorsal face is highly convex and is covered with with three large, main removals. A small amount of cortex also remains in place at the proximal end. A small amount of short, scaled, semi-abrupt to abrupt retouch may be seen around the curved distal end of the dorsal face. The flint is grey-brown in colour with lighter patches in places. It has a shiny patina, pa…

Large side scraper, created from a secondary flake, probably dating to the Neolithic. The scraper is sub-ovoid in shape and very evenly shaped and carefully worked. The ventral face is slightly convex in shape with a prominent bulb of percussion. The striking platform has been removed to form a rounded end. The dorsal face is convex, becoming thicker towards the distal ned, which still has a small amount of cortex remaining on it. The dorsal face has two long flaking scars either side of a central ridge, which itself divides in two towards the distal end where a further, sub-triangular…

Produced on a tertiary flake. The object has a convex dorsal face, with a ridge running down its centre. The proximal end is has been worked to a point, removing most of the striking platform, and the distal end rounded. Perhaps the pointed proximal end was also used as a tool. Sporadic semi-abrupt to low angle, short to long, sub-parallel retouch can be seen along the left edge of the dorsal face. The right edge of the ventral face has low angle, short, subparallel retouch along its extent. The distal end of the dorsal face has been rounded using crossed abrupt to abrupt, long, subpar…

Produced on a tertiary flake. The object is roughly ovoid in form, bur with a pointed ventral end. The dorsal face has two primary removals either side of a central ridge. With a further long, thin removal along the right edge, and several crude, small ones along the left edge towards the proximal end. There is wide, semi-abrupt, long, parallel retouch along the curved distal end, interspersed with occasional patches of small, short, scaled removals. The flint is brown-grey in colour, with a milky patina in places and speckled with lighter patches. The object is probably of Neolithic t…

End scraper, produced on a secondary flake. A large portion of smooth, chalky cortex is present along the left side of the dorsal face. The object is sub-rectangular in shape with a curved distal end. The platform is very wide and uneven, and the bulb on the ventral face is very diffuse. The dorsal face is quite uneven, with crude flakes removed in places. There is predominantly long, with the occasional section of short, semi-abrupt, subparallel retouch along the proximal end, but this is not well executed. The flint is grey in colour with lighter speckles and a milky patina in places…

Flint end scraper. Tertiary flake. The dorsal face is convex, with parallel, thin flaking scars suggesting that it has been removed from a blade core. The butt is quite small, with a fairly prominent bulb on the ventral face. To the distal end of the dorsal face short, abrupt, very irregular retouch can be seen. The object is very heavily patinated. However, a few of these removals have exposed the brown-grey flint below. These are unfortunately too limited to suggest whether this is evidence of reuse or simply later damage during deposition. The object is likely to date to the Neolith…

A large and fairly crude flint scraper, roughly sub-circular in form, created on a secondary flake (cortex remains in places). The object is quite thin and flat. The ventral face is concave apart from the raised bulb, whilst the dorsal face is very slightly convex (though fairly flat in the centre where two large flakes have been removed), leading to a slight curve when viewed from the side. The small butt and very prominent bulb on the ventral face suggest that it was produced using the hard hammer method. Furthermore, the faceted and battered platform seem to point to a fairly low l…
