A fragment of a larger flint tool, possibly an axe or adze of Mesolithic to early Bronze Age date. It is formed on a secondary flake - rough pebble cortex still remains on the dorsal face. It is roughly triangular in shape, but was clearly much larger originally as there is an abrupt, rough break at the proximal end. Several large, crude flakes have been removed from the ventral face and there is invasive, sub-parallel retouch covering most of the dorsal face. An incomplete flint flaked and polished axe of probable late Neolithic date. The axe is an elongated flame-shape, sub-oval in cross-section. It is unusually long and narrow, but not outside the range of know forms. There is invasive, scaled, low angle retouch on both faces with limited polishing visible in places at the wider end. There is a thick orange-stained patina covering most of the surface, but with small amounts of post-deposition damage around the edges where the patina has been removed. A complete flaked axe/adze of probable Neolithic date. It is ovoid in shape and lenticular in cross-section, but slightly thicker on one face towards the pointed outer end. There is covering, flaked retouch on both faces. A small amount of cortex remains in the centre towards the butt end of one face and at the outer tip of the other face. The surface is heavily patinated and orange stained. There is some rolling on the edges. A fragment of a Neolithic flint polished axehead. It is roughly rectangular in shape and plano-convex in cross section. The outer face has small flaking scars in several places, but the area surrounding these has been smoothly polished, producing an almost flat surface. There is a rough, stepped break to one end, presumably the result of the impact that fractured the flake from the rest of the axe. An incomplete Neolithic flint axehead. It is elongated with straight sides and rounded ends, the cutting end wider than the butt end. Both faces are convex and covered with small flaking scars. The surface around these scars has been highly polished and they are positioned at different levels to one another, suggesting that most are original features of the object rather than accidental damage. A complete Neolithic finely worked polished stone axehead. It is an elongated sub-triangular shape and oval in cross-section, with straight slightly outwards curving sides, a narrow, rounded butt and a blade end that curves outwards only very slightly. It is composed of a coarse-grained basic intrusive rock that has probably undergone metamorphism, speckled white and blue-grey in colour. There is a patch of orange-brown straining on one face. A reworked Neolithic polished stone reworked axehead. It is roughly oval in shape and plano-convex in cross section. Several areas on both faces feature the original polished surface and this is particularly apparent at the butt end of one face. The outer end appears to have broken away, however, and the remaining portion of the axe has been retouched with large, scaled, invasive flakes to allow it to be reused.
