A complete flint awl or borer of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. A long, rounded point extends from the distal end, enhanced by short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt retouch along the left side of the dorsal face. The butt is narrow and there is a small scar where the bulb is missing. The flint is a translucent light grey-brown colour with light patination. A flint awl or borer of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. A triangular secondary flake with thick orange cortex covering the proximal end. Both faces are covered with a milky patina, which has been deliberately removed in a few places on the dorsal face suggesting that an older object was reused at a later date. There is long, scaled, low angle retouch along the right side of the ventral face and short, abrupt, irregular retouch around the distal end of the dorsal face, which together create a rounded point at the distal end.
