A complete flint early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead. It is triangular in shape with projecting rounded barbs, the tip of one missing. The central tang is sub-rectangular in shape. Both faces have invasive/covering, scaled, low-angle retouch, with an unretouched patch in the centre of one face. The flint is a mid-grey colour with limited patination. Barbed and tanged arrowheads are characteristic of the Neolithic/early Bronze Age transition to middle Bronze Age period, c.2400-1000 BC. A complete flint early Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead. It is formed from a secondary flake with a very small amount of cortex attached to one face at the distal end. It is large in size, roughly ovoid in shape and pointed oval in cross-section. Both faces are covered with scaled retouch and there is addition irregular, short, low angle retouch in places around the edges. An incomplete Neolithic flint leaf-shaped arrowhead. It is roughly oval in form, but with a straight break across the distal end. It is not clear whether this was deliberate or not. The dorsal face is covered with long, invasive, parallel scaled retouch. There is a small amount of short scaled retouch around the outside of the ventral face only. Flint arrowhead of late Neolithic date. Tertiary flake struck using a hard hammer. Trapezoidal in shape. Invasive, stepped retouch on the dorsal face, with a narrow tranchet flake removed from the distal end of the dorsal face, creating a sharp, chisel-like cutting edge. The narrow proximal end would have been hafted, with the broad edge as the arrow tip. The arrowhead is narrow and fairly crude. Both faces are covered with fine, invasive, scaled retouch. The flint is light brown in colour and slightly translucent. All faces, including the break are covered with a patchy, milky patina. Unfortunately, because the butt of the arrowhead is missing, its original form is difficult to discern and therefore it is hard to date it more closely than this.
