An incomplete flint late Mesolithic to early Neolithic probable adze. It is largely straight-sided (although both sides curved outwards very slightly), tapering slightly towards one end, with rounded ends and an irregular flattened lozenge-shaped cross-section. There is invasive, scaled flaking on both faces and a possible attempt at a tranchet flake removal from one face of the cutting edge. There is some damage around the butt end and a small section missing here. There is also a notch caused by damage to the blade ned. The flint is a mid-grey in colour with slight patination on one…

There is invasive, scaled flaking on both faces and a possible attempt at a tranchet flake removal from one face of the cutting edge. There is some damage around the butt end and possibly a small section missing here. The flint is a mid-grey in colour with slight patination and some orange staining in places.
