A flint side and end scrape of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. Formed from a secondary flake - hard pebble cortex remains on 50% of the dorsal face. There is a prominent bulb of percussion on the ventral face suggesting that it was struck with a hard hammer. Invasive, sub-parallel retouch along the left side and distal end of the dorsal face, mostly low angle, becoming semi-abrupt in the middle. The flint is light brown in colour with a shiny patina.
Length: 36.0mm, width: 31.0mm, thickness: 8.5mm, weight: 10.58g
