Mesolithic to Neolithic (-8,300 to -2100) debitage: Primary flint flake with multiple vertical, slender, scars on the dorsal surface. There is cortex on the distal end. The central surface has conchoidal ripples, but the proximal end is truncated, therefore the bulb of person is missing. The flint is a mottled dark grey colour. 30.27mm long, 29.01mm wide and weighs 5.97g. The flake probably dates from the Mesolithic to Neolithic period.

Possibly Neolithic to Bronze Age (c. 4000 to 800 BC) debitage in the form of a tertiary flake: The dorsal surface has multiple linear negative scars. The distal end is rounded due to a flake being removed from the ventral face, and there is some possible retouch, both of which penetrate a patina to reveal a dark grey/black flint. However this may be due damage rather than intention. The proximal end is truncated and again may be due to damage, but a slight patina has started to develop over this end. The ventral face has conchoidal ripples, but no bulb of percussion. The dorsal and ve…
