Mesolithic to early Bronze Age (c. 9000 to 1000BC) debitage: The debitage is similar to a core, but is probably a reused piece of debitage as one small face has a mottled white and blue patina. The other faces reveal a dark grey-brown coloured patina. In plan the 'chunk' is sub-trapezoidal and the vertical side faces taper slightly to a trapezoid. The three of the faces have single scars, this includes the patinaed face. The fourth face has small negative scars which are larger than re-touch, but are still very small. Probable Late Neolithic to early Bronze Age (-2700 to -1500) debitage (secondary flake): The dorsal surface has three linear vertical negative scars. The ventral face has a bulb of percussion, but due to anomalies in the flint/chert ripples are not clear. The surface of the flint/chert has a matte mottled light grey surface. It measures 44.76mm long, 27.98mm wide, 7.18mm thick, and weighs 8.22g The bulb of and dorsal surface suggest the flake date to the period from the late Neolithic to early Bronze Age.
