Record ID: GLO-4378BC
Object type: SCRAPER (TOOL)
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Bath and North East Somerset
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
~~Neolithic scraper on a secondary flake. This has an off-centre arise on the dorsal, this side is also covered with about 60% cortex and a large bulb of percussion on the ventral. The forward edge has abrupt, direct retouch that creates a curved leading edge. There is also working at the base of the flint that consists of inverse, semi-abrupt retouch on the lower portion of the right sides which crates a straight working edge. This is a light grey fling with darker patches is covered in a creamy patina that has light grey speckles.

Record ID: GLO-C3AE31
Object type: CORE
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Hampshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
~Flake core that has multiple flaking scars on both the ventral and dorsal side that have been taken from a number of directions, which has resulted in the artefact developing an oval cross section. There are traces of cortext covering about 40% of the ventral side, flaking has removed the cortext from the remaining area of the ventral and the whole of the dorsal, exposing a grey flint with frequent creamy patches. The extremities of the core show signs of post-depositional damage.

Object type: BORER
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Gloucestershire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
Flint borer, this is a primary flake with about 60% cortex covering the dorsal and a large bulb of percussion on the ventral. The forward edge has been knapped on the upper left side to create a projecting arm on the right corner, running down the left side and forward edge is bifacial, scaled, rough retouch. Running down the right side is cross-abrupt, scaled, direct retouch. This is a grey flint with lighter patches, early stages of patina forming.
