Polished stone axe head. Neolithic 117mm length, 69mm wide, 37 thick. The style of the axehead conforms to Manbys’ class 4D (Manby 1979 66-67). Oval section, rounded cutting edge which tapers down to a thin butt. Large amount of flaking scars on the sides on the last quarters of the butt and over the dorsel and ventral faces. The blade (first quarter of the axe) has been finely ground and polished, removing nearly all of the flaking scars. The dorcel and ventral faces together with but the sides have been slightly ground, but little attempt was made to remove the dee…

Class 2, evidence for large flakes have been removed from both side on the top and bottom, rounded blade. All of the marking produced by the flaking process have been polished away and only in the recesses has the axe not been polished.
