Fragment of a Neolithic axe. The remaining blade end of a polished lithic axehead. The implement is broken and the butt end is missing. The item is lentoid in cross section with a raised central portion, thinning to the edges. It would have been bifacially knapped to create a symmetrical surface on both sides, before being polished. One face features a polished surface with a large flake removal, as well as some smaller thinner removals close to the broken edge. The other edge is smooth and polished with some superficial flake removals which could have been caused post depositionally…
