Struck from a core of fine grained bluey-grey flint, this piece is blade-like in appearance and likely represents a correction piece originating from a blade core. An incomplete struck flint flake of probable Neolithic or Bronze Age date, c. 4000-1500 BC. It is broadly rectangular in plan, with a plain platform and prominent bulb of percussion on its ventral face denoting hard-hammer removal. The flake is short and squat, having been struck into a concavity within the original core and subsequently terminating in a step fracture. There is a single large flake negative on its upper surface. Preserved in fresh condition with a slight bluish grey patina, it survives to a length of 20.24mm, 28.13mm wide, and 6.83mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 5.5g.

It is patinated a thick bluey-white colour, with some iron staning visible on both its dorsal and ventral faces. There is a single arrise on its dorsal face. Edge damage is visible on both lateral edges. Preserved in fairly worn condition, it survives to a length of 38.81mm, 19.84mm wide at its midpoint, and 5.29mm thick at its midpoint. It weighs 4.77g.
