An incomplete leaf-shaped arrow head dating to the Early to Middle Neolithic 4000 BC - 2700 BC. The arrowhead is leaf shaped in plan tapering to a point. All edges have low angle retouch. The flint is light grey with dark grey inclusions throughout. The tip is broken and missing. This form fits Butler's (2005: 123) type 1C which suggests and Early to Middle Neolithic date (ibid: 125). He notes that these arrowheads would have been hafted on to the end of a wooden shaft and secured with twine and resin and that these partially-flaked types were quickly made …
