The implement is knife formed from a secondary flake which is sub-D-shaped in plan and section. The dorsal surface retains approx. 80% cortext and displays low angle, long, parallel retouch along both sides and the distal end. The ventral surface is fairly smooth with visible ripples of percussion suggesting the use of the hard hammer technique in its removal. The flint is a mid-grey colour. A complete though probably unfinished stone axehead of Neolithic date, c. 3500 - 2100 BC. The axehead is trapezoidal in plan with a pointed ovate section. The surfaces are rough with a chip to one side of the butt edge. The unpolished nature of the object suggests it was not properly finished.
