Pin. Probably die-stamped head of a pin with a socket to receive a steel or wire shank [lost]. The round top is patterned with a central cross-hatched field confined by plain bars which themselves are flanked by horizontal lines, all probably stamped (cf. Modern cast copper alloy finger ring, c.AD 1900-1950. This finger ring is made from a single piece of metal, with a series of transverse grooves across the face on either side of the setting. The setting is off-set from the centre of the hoop and triangular in plan; it contains a dark, smooth piece of glass or semi-precious stone. No hallmarks or makers' marks are visible on any face.

This object appears to have been involved in an episode of mechanical failure if not an explosion. A complete copper alloy Finger Ring of Modern date (AD 1901-1936). The object has been made from a probable commemorative medal, for the death of Queen Victoria or ascension of Edward VII. The object is D shaped in section and circular in plan. The outer face shows not decorative pattern. The inner face of the object retains a partial legend and reads ANNO 1901, with a beaded boarder retained below.
