A probable MODERN IMITATION of an Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver penny of Ethelred II (978-1016). Bare headed type, 997-1003 (North 1994, 159, ref: 774). Moneyer Leofman, Canterbury mint. The coin's weight is too high for an early-medieval issue and its style and quality of execution is poor suggesting it is a modern imitation. Obverse: +EÐELRED REX ANGLO[ ]; Bare headed bust left Reverse: LEOF[M]ANM-OCÆNT   Voided long cross Diameter: 22.3mm. Weight: 2.97g. This coin has been double struck on the obverse and reverse.

A complete late post-Medieval or Modern cast copper-alloy clog or shoe clasp (c. 1790 - c. 1930). The clasp has parallel sides. One end is rounded and the other end has a straight transverse edge. The rounded end has an integral re-curved 'anchor'-shaped hook. The clasp is corroded and in poor condition. It has been stamped on the inside to create small rectangular raised motifs on the outside. Length: 24.7mm; width: 11.9mm; thickness: 1.0mm. Weight: 0.95g.. An incomplete Modern gold dental plate (c. 1800-c. 1950). The plate is misshapen and has five integral rods on which false teeth could be affixed. The tooth would probably have been made of porcelain. However, what seems to be the remains of a false tooth with a gold pin through it was found together with the plate and appears to be made of bone. A post-Medieval to Modern sheet copper-alloy unidentified object of uncertain function (c. 1750-c. 1900). This object is made of sheet copper-alloy and has been folded to form a tube. The two edges abut. It is slightly larger at one then at the other end. Within the tube, extending its entire length, are two similar pieces of sheet copper-alloy. These are 'C'-shaped in cross-section and are arranged back-to back. Both pieces are wedged inside rather than being soldered. The object has a green patina. A cast copper-alloy unidentified object of possible Modern date and uncertain function (c. 1800-c. 1950). This object is lozenge-shaped in plan, flat on the upper and lower faces and has vertical sides. It has an oval (almost circular) hole through the centre. At each end a rounded projection has an old break on the lower face. The object is greenish grey with off-white corrosion products. There are 'file' marks on the lower face. Length: 34.71mm; width: 11.67mm; thickness: 5.06mm. Weight: 5.15g. It is possible the object is earlier.

An incomplete cast copper alloy fitting from a firearm (longarm) probably a rifle or musket of post-Medieval or Modern date (c. 1770-c. 1850). The fitting is from the underside of the barrel and would have held the ram-rod in place. It is cylindrical in cross-section and has an incomplete integral perforated lug. The cylindrical part tapers throughout its length and the thickness of its walls is about 2.15mm. A Modern cast copper-alloy circular ½ ounce trade weight of possible Victorian date. The weight is circular in plan and has a raised rim which has a width of 3.10mm. The sides are bevelled with the top of the rim being slightly wider than the base. The upper face is stamped with a star at 12 o' clock, 'C' at 9 o' clock, 'S' at 3 o' clock , 0 at six o' clock and a ½ at the centre (the half is inverted). The arms are encased within a circular sliding double-sided boss or plaque which has a circular free running suspension loop. This sheet copper-alloy object is sub-rectangular in plan, domed at the front and concave at the rear. At the front, it has an incomplete border that has raised pellets as decoration. Around the base of the central part, adjacent to the border, there are evenly spaced oblique grooves. However, these are barely visible. The object is corroded and in poor condition. 17.58 x 16.74 x 6.07mm. Weight: 0.53g.

An incomplete Modern lead-alloy toy gun (c. 1850-c. 1920 AD). The stock survives and is sub-triangular in plan, pointed-oval in cross-section and has an open-ended butt. Both sides are similarly decorated with raised scrolling flowers and 'cross-hatching'. Toy guns were popular from the late 17th century and this example probably dates c. 1850-c. 1920. This object is largely coated with a buff patina. There is a break at the larger end. 35.29 x 16.42 x 8.72mm. Weight: 12.06g. It has a rim at the base and a vertical slot at one side. On the opposite side of the slot there is a raised cartouche or similar feature with initials, possibly S O.
