Close to one corner a circular hole has a diameter of 2.3mm. The front has a matt greenish buff unclear design which is surrounded by blue enamel. At one end there is an integral pear-shaped knop which is oval in cross-section. A complete post-Medieval or Modern copper-alloy cufflink element (c. 1898-c. 1950). The element is oval in plan, flat at the front with a soldered attachment loop at the rear. The front has an engraved (or perhaps cast) depiction of a ciborium or chalice which is cross-hatched and beaded. The lid is surmounted by a cross. A complete Modern base metal and coated copy of a 'sixpence' of Charles I (1625-1649), 1900-2000. This coin copies the silver shillings minted at Pontefract during 1648 and 1649, the so-called 'siege' pieces. Sixpences were never minted at Pontefract, but were at Scarborough in 1644-5 and Newark in 1646. However, these latter types are square or diamond-shaped in profile, not disc-shaped as in this case. An incomplete Modern gold dental plate (c. 1800-c. 1950). The plate is misshapen and has five integral rods on which false teeth could be affixed. The tooth would probably have been made of porcelain. However, what seems to be the remains of a false tooth with a gold pin through it was found together with the plate and appears to be made of bone. An incomplete cast copper alloy fitting from a firearm (longarm) probably a rifle or musket of post-Medieval or Modern date (c. 1770-c. 1850). The fitting is from the underside of the barrel and would have held the ram-rod in place. It is cylindrical in cross-section and has an incomplete integral perforated lug. The cylindrical part tapers throughout its length and the thickness of its walls is about 2.15mm.
