An incomplete silver modern cap badge for the 48th Northamptonshire Regiment, dating to between AD 1881 and 1918. It is an oval shape with openwork decoration consisting of a castle with a key in the centre, the words Gibraltar above and Talavera below and encircled by a laurel wreath with Northamptonshire on a banner below. An apparently incomplete copper-alloy and white metal unidentified object of uncertain date. It is a flattened sub-oval shape with slightly indentations in the centre of each longer side. One face is decorated with parallel inwards curving longitudinal grooves, some joined by shorter transverse grooves, all filled with traces of white metal. An incomplete copper alloy modern zoomorphic vessel or furniture foot. The object takes the form of a three-toed, clawed birds foot. A flat plate projects at a right-angle from the angle, terminating in a break where the edge of a circular attachment hole is visible. Two supportive knops project from the centre and rear edge of the base. The surface of the metal is corroded. The style of the object suggests a relatively modern date and it was presumably part of a set of feet attached to the base of a vessel or item of furniture. An incomplete copper alloy post-medieval sword or dagger chape. Only one half of the chape survives. This is roughly rectangular in shape, but curving slightly one one side at the lower end. There is a rough break across the upper end with a raised diagonal ridge across the outer face below it. The lower end terminates in a circular knob. The reverse is hollow with a diagonal bar across the lower end, holding the fragmentary remains of some wood in place. A complete tinned copper alloy openwork harness fitting of probable modern date. It is circular in shape, divided into two concentric rings with a solid circular section in the centre. Each section is joined together with four strips of metal arranged at regular intervals, the inner four alternating in position with the outer four. An incomplete copper alloy object, with a head which is cuboid, square in cross-section and faceted, and a stem which is circular in cross-section and bent out of shape. Total length: 14.57mm, width of head: 6.5 x 6.8mm, thickness of stem: 3.09mm, weight: 2.66g. Although this resembles a pin of Cool's (1990, 164) group 15, it is more likely to be a modern hook, perhaps for a coat or strings for a blind, etc. Compare NLM-B5DF46, LVPL-4CF45C, LEIC-B30068, SF-D59BA6. Probably 19th or 20th century.

The outer face has a moulded rectangle in the centre with two raised transverse lines across one side creating a sewn effect.
