It has a flat, disc shaped head, at the back centre of which is an incomplete circular sewing lug that is missing its outer edge due to old breaks. The front face of the button carries a livery comprising a central crown within an inner border, with traces of an added white metal coating. This is surrounded by a legend reading IMPERIAL FIRE INSURANCE COMPANY. The name of the button manufacturer stamped on the back face is illegible due to post-depositional corrosion. A cast iron British military bridle bit. It is a curb bit with cylindrical mouthpiece that is arched and its centre. At the head of the bridle the shanks have circular cheek rings to which are attached cast iron hooks that hold in place a separately cast copper-alloy curb chain of 15 links. An incomplete cast lead alloy object forming one half of a lead food seal. The terminal is flat and disc-shaped in form. Extending from the base of the terminal is an integral lead shaft that is oval shaped in section and terminates in old breaks at the base of the terminal. Both faces of the terminal are decorated with a moulded legend that is the same on both sides. This begins with a star at the top middle and is written in Hebrew, although precisely what the legend reads remains uncertain. They are circular in form and oval shaped in section, each of them with an oval shaped casting sprue at the cente of the outer edge.
