Fragment from the upper half of a German second world war identity tag - or 'dog tag'. The tag is flat, crescentric and has two holes at the curved edge. There are two tabs of metal protruding from the straight edge, which originally would have attached to the opposing crescentric side. One surface of the tag is stamped with the owners details. The top line reads ]6664, which is the soldiers personel number. The bottom line reads: ]p Ld Schutz Ers Batl 13. The letter 'p' at the far right next to the break would have been the last letter of the abbreviated word 'Komp[anie]', and so in …

A gilded lead object in the form of the bust of a youthful male, possibly a cherub. The object is probably a livery badge, though no fittings are visible on the reverse. The badge is flat and shows the figure facing straight on. He has curly hair and a rounded face with a similing mouth. The figure wears a Roman-style tunic swept across one shoulder. Along the bottom edge is a rope-like border as commonly seen on livery badges. The badge probably dates to the eighteenth or nineteenth century. The reverse is undecorated and flat.

A silver scoop from the terminal of post-medieval table implement, possibly a salt spoon. The scoop comprises a shallow circular bowl cut into a moulded scallop-shell terminal. A slender stem extends from the bowl and bifurcates just before the break. Mid to late 18th century.

A cast-copper alloy bar. The bar is circular in cross-section, elongated with both ends slightly flared. Each end is flat. The bar has a mid-green patina, complete and does not look worn. The bar is undiagnostic regarding its function. The alloy of metal does not look ancient however. A similar but shorter bar was discovered on the same field. See LIN-DDA7C2.

An incomplete handle from a candlestick ejector-key. Such keys were used to eject the stem of a candlestick. The key has an openwork trefoil handle with a transverse collar below on one side only. The shaft is oval in cross-section and decorated with concentric ribs below the collar. The shaft is broken shortly thereafter.

A lead Russian bale seal dating to the nineteenth century. The seal is circular with a hole for the cord running from side to side. One side reads: ЛД = LD A.KУЧKOBЪ (A.KUCHKOV) H62 The other side reads: NP ?H12H 1821 This seal was probably issued by the port of Narva, Estonia, and was for a bale of flax. The inspectors name is Kuchkov.A. Lead-alloy seals such as this one were attached to bundles of flax and hemp exported from Russia during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

A lead Baltic bale seal for flax or hemp, issued by the port of Narva, Estonia. The seal is oval, flat and decorated on both sides. One side is decorated with the heraldic shield of Narva, containing a short cross with four pellets in the upper left and right hand corners. The shield is apparently set within a circular border of pellets. The other side is decorated with what appear to be the conjoined letters T and M, with what might be 19K below. A modern lead alloy seal from a bag of fertliser made by the Anglo-Continental Guano Works of Silvertown, London. The seal dates circa 1914-1937. The seal is oval, flat and decorated on both sides. The obverse reads: [ANGL]O CONT[INENTAL WORKS LONDON] around LATE OHLEN[DORFF], and on the reverse: TRADE MARK with the image of a cornucopia between the two words. Copper alloy barrel tap key. The key has an incomplete head in the form of two circular loops. Below in the centre is a solid intergral shaft, oval in cross-section, which gradually widens to circular collar. The interior of this collar is a slightly recessed square shape with four incomplete short prongs.
