A gold circular hoop or ring with a tubular element projecting at one point, that could be part of a swivel fitting, probably from a fob or watch chain. The coin looks like a New Coinage shilling of 1820, number 3790 in Spink's Standard Catalogue. However, the coin is a millimetre larger than the one illustrated in Spink, at 23.6mm diameter and 1.6mm thick, 5.6g. It has a Roman, serifed T stamped sideways on the neck, the base towards the right of the coin. There is also a dent in the top edge of the coin. In other respects, the coin is in very good condition, though the silver has patinated to a dark brown colour.

A folded, lead alloy seal, possibly a modern cloth inspection seal dating from AD 1800 - 1950. The seal is a single sheet of lead which is folded double and fastened shut with a central rivet. One face, pierced by the fastening stud, has a rounded end and carries an impression in relief reading: "[...]IM(P)SON A[...]" round the edge. There are also two numbers: "36" which have been crudely inscribed with a sharp tool. The other face has a square end and carries an impression in relief of three lines of small, rectangular cartouches each containing a letter or number that read: [-]45//…

British Museum Report:
"The find consists of a finger-ring of silver wire with the ends knotted round the hoop and forming a triple wire bezel with a blue glass bead strung on the central wire; diameter, 18mm (max); weight, 0.73 grams.
Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate silver content for wire of the ring of 98%, with 2% copper. An iron spear of Modern date, possibly a replica or ethnographic piece.
It has an angular blade which is a lozenge in section. The neck is sub-square in section and the socket is a rounded square near the neck, gradually changing to oval in section at the end. The socket appears to be of solid construction. An unusual feature, and the one that indicates a Modern date, is a bolt across the socket of which only the hexagonal head and nut can be seen projecting from the sides of the socket. The socket is full of earth and corrosion. When recovered from the ground, the spear had laye…
