Modern tally, a copper alloy disc, probably originally a halfpenny of Victoria (1837-1901) bronze issue, 1860-1901. Its faces have beeen smoothed and one side stamped with the raised letters 'SP' set within a reserved rectangle. The edge of the disc has been notched. This object may be a farm tally, used to record the number of baskets of produce collected by each worker. Diameter 29.1mm, Mass 7.23g.
