Lead alloy figurine in the form of a seated female sphinx probably modern (i.e. 19th or 20th century).  All of the features of the figure are worn.  There is an integral lug at the base of the figure, which is circular in section.  Evan Chapman (pers comm) notes that this is probably from a “mantle clock, ink stand or similar”. Unidentified object in a lead alloy, possibly spelter, most likely to be 19th or early 20th century, neo-classical revival. Fragment of a modern ceramic vessel, possibly a cup or sugar bowl dating post 1894AD. The fragment is a lead glazed redware. The exterior is decorated with enamelled dots and gilt banding which has been over painted. The enamel is now lost but may have been either off-white or pale blue originally. A complete copper-alloy bifacial coin weight, for the Portuguese 'joe' gold coins, issued between 1760 and 1773 AD. The value of 18 shillings indicated was equivalent to the 'half joe'/2 escudos coin (Withers & Withers 2011, 66). Both faces are marked with a small letter S above a larger 18 above a small 4.1/4, all within a border made of small pellets. The coin weight has a rough surface and is dark brown in colour. Fragment of a lead or lead alloy urn shaped candlestick of c. 1810-50AD. The fragment has been cast as a single piece and has broken from its base that appears to have been cast as a separate section, which is now missing, and the two pieces subsequently fixed together. A complete copper alloy heraldic mount dating from the modern period c1700-1850AD. The mount depicts a demi-savage with a wreath around his temple and loins. He holds a club over his right shoulder. Although the surface of the object is now quite rough and abraded there are traces of black coating on both obverse and reverse. The reverse of the mount has traces of possible lead-alloy which may have been used to fix the mount. Copper alloy Bovril promotional medal or token taking the form of the Victoria Cross that was introduced in 1856. Bovril was not introduced until 1886, therefore this must date to the late 19th or early 20th century. The object has an integral suspension loop. On the obverse the incuse lettering BOVRIL reads left to right and from top to bottom, with the VR of Bovril in larger letters at the centre. Copper alloy disc with dating 1869AD. The lettering on the disc has been pressed into it so that it is in relief on the front of the disc, and incuse on the reverse. Around the rim is the inscription THE GIFT OF DR SHORT BISHOP OF ST ASAPH IN MEMORY OF MARY HIS WIFE. In the centre over three lines is the lettering R.D.W.C. / WATER / 1869 below which has been punched the number 45. There is a circular rivet hole towards the top of the object. Clay tobacco pipe which dates from c1860-1910 and is decorated with a common decorative scheme for the period comprising moulded milling around the rim and the initials RAOB above a buffalo's head on the front of the bowl. These initials are for the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, a fraternal order founded in 1822 and one of the largest such organisations in the United Kingdom. A modern complete silver medal dating to 1896. The medal bears the arms of the Prince of Wales Own West Yorkshire Regiment over a pair of crossed rifles. On the ribbon around the central badge contains the names of the three Yorkshire regiments (1ST BATT YORK / 2ND BATT BRADFORD / 3RD BATT LEEDS) and the regimental depot (14TH REGL DEPOT). A complete small conical copper-alloy thimble dating from the Post Medieval or Modern period c. 1850-1900AD. The upper part of the wall is covered with closely spaced machine stamped circular indentations arranged in horizontal lines. The top of the thimble is slightly corroded but concentric rings of circular indentations can still be seen. The lower part of the wall is plan and the base is damaged and worn. Copper alloy post medieval button (c. 1700-1900). The button is a hollow two-piece button. The convex front of the button is decorated with a Welsh dragon at the centre with the lettering DENBIGHSHIRE VOLUTEER RIFLES in a band around the circumference. The reverse is slightly concave with a loop attachment that has been bent over. The back of the button is impressed with the lettering SUPERIOR QUALITY. An incomplete fragment from a cast copper alloy 'fob' seal of modern date probably later 18th or early 19th Century (1740-1850). The seal matrix is composite, being formed from a clear glass intaglio set into a machine pressed oval body. The intaglio is engraved with a retrograde C in a cursive script.
