A copper-alloy advertising token for the 'Pears Soap' company, probably dating c. 1861-1900. The token has been overstamped on a very worn 'dix centimes' struck for Napoleon III of France, dated 1861. The obverse face of the coin has been stamped with the legend 'PEARS SOAP. Preserved in fair condition with an even green patina, it measures 29.77mm in diameter, 1.74mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 7.78g.
