Incomplete military cap badge for the 16th Queen's Lancers, dating AD.1905-1922. Measurements: Length: 45.29mm; Width: 48.66mm; Weight: 10.98g Discussion: kindly provided by Mr Peter Hart. The badge relates to the 1st World War history of the regiment and such badges were produced in large numbers during the war. In 1905 the title scroll was changed to "The Queen's Lancers" prior to the First World War during which an all brass economy issue was made. A modern complete silver double hooked clasp, AD.1800-1950. The clasp consists of a rectangular silver plate decorated on the obverse side with long projections from each of the short sides of the object. The object is decorated with a hellenistic double squared spiral design this has been engraved into the top surface. There is a semi-circular floral design upon either side of the rectangular plate. The long hooks have been folded back and distorted from their original shape. Length: 27.36mm Width: 10.29mm Thickness: 0.95mm Weight: 2.49g

A complete, modern, steel and plastic, discoidal plate badge, AD.2017. The badge comprises a doubled metallic ferrous disc with an outer plastic coating on the front face. The reverse of the object is slightly concave with a raised edge. There are two circular holes in the reverse plate at opposed sides of the disc. Through these holes emerge the sprung pin and the catchplate, which is formed of a looped wire. An incomplete post medieval - modern, silver plated, copper alloy button, AD.1850-1950, Inscribed 'SUCCESS TO THE PLOUGH' . The button has lost its attachement loop and some of the silver plate has been lost from the edge of the button. The front of the button has a picture of a Rotherham plough, with the inscription above in a banner.
