Unifaced square stamped 20th century restuarant token. At the centre is a 1D (1 penny) value mark with the inscription arranged in a circle above and below: Above CADBURY'S Below DINING ROOM. around the edge of the token is a border of pellets. The reverse is plain and undecorated. The token is a mid green colour with a corroded patina. It is likely that the token dates to the period 1900-1960. It measures 25.7mm length and width, is 1.8mm thick and weighs 5.74 grams

A small rectangular gun flint probably from a small handgun / firearm / pocket pistol of post medieval - modern date (1700-1850 AD). The flint is sub-square in plan and trapezoidal in profile and section. The flint is a light mottled grey colour. The dorsal face has been knapped / worked on all four sides; this work consists of creating sloping edges to give it a trapezoidal side view. The long edges are also retourched / trimmed with neat parallel sided removals. A cast copper alloy 'fob' seal of late Georgian or Victorian date (1750-1850). The seal is formed with a rectangular glass intaglio, rectangular machine pressed body with an applied small suspension loop. It is likely that the body of the setting is hollow and it is decorated with a machine pressed geometric design which has been silvered / tinned. A white metal aluminium teaspoon dated 1938. The spoon was discovered in two parts found within the same hole and a modern break is present across the junction between the bowl and stem. A cast and pressed silver 'coin' brooch date 1836 based on a half-crown design. The brooch comprises a solid silver frame with eight rectangular raised panels on the front face and small circular knops on the edge. Within the frame is a machine pressed silver disc depicting the draped royal arms surmounted by a crown with ANNO 1836 beneath. The ground around the shield is keyed and the remains of black enamel / niello is present in areas of the shield. Piano Hoard - Summary of findings 2016-T969 (Bishop's Castle Shropshire) I have examined a group of 913 coins reported found hidden within a Broadward Piano from Bishop's Castle Shropshire. The coins are listed in the attached report. Discussion of the find The 913 coins are all British gold coins, mostly sovereigns (634), but with a considerable number of half-sovereigns (280). A copper alloy (bronze probably brass) merchants token for Massey's Wine and Spirit Company most likely to date from the 19th century AD. The token is struck on a flan of similar size and thickness to a half penny of George I or II (1727-1760 AD). And may in fact be a heavily worn halfpenny from this period reused in the later 18th or 19th century. Both sides are filed and polished smooth. A cast copper alloy post medieval coin weight for weighing a Portuguese half moidore (half joe) dated 1760 - 1773. This weight is marked on both sides with three pairs of vertical marks S D / 13 6 / S N so would weigh coins of the equivalent 13 shillings 6 pence and the issuer / maker would be S N. The coin weight is a mid grey brown colour with a pitted and abraded surface. The coin weight measures 17.6mm diameter, is 2.9mm thick and weighs 4.54 grams (0.16ozs 69.9 grains).
