37 sherds of a handmade ceramic vessel of modern date. The sherds are from a hematite burnished ware vessel with an oxidized fabric. The inclusions are small, circular and light coloured (white) and are likely to be quartzite. Some ovate voids are present and the fabric is quite hard. Many of the sherds can be fitted together giving an estimated diameter of 14cm suggesting the vessel was a small and shallow bowl or dish. A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of modern date (19th century). The fragment is a body sherd with a gritty, hard reduced light grey fabric. Both the interior and exterior surfaces of the vessel fragment are coated in a light creamy-yellow glaze which is cracked on the external surface. The fabric is that of English stoneware. The fragment is 38mm long, 34.1mm wide, 4.1mm thick and weighs 7.9g.
