A gold finger ring of modern date, c.AD 1800 - 1900. The hoop of the ring is circular with a D-shaped section. The hoop widens to the shoulders which are moulded in an acanthus style design. The bezel is in the form of a raised hollow helmeted head. The finger ring is 18.5mm in diameter, 4.5mm wide, 1.5mm thick and weighs 1.9g. The bezel is 5.2mm tall.

A complete copper alloy double looped horse harness fitting of modern date. The object comprises two oval loops, one large and one smaller, set at 90 degrees to one another. Both loops have an ovate section and are joined by a short circular stem. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The fitting is 79.2mm long, 30.2mm wide, 17.1mm thick and weighs 39.9g. Similar harness fittings have been recorded on the PAS database as WMID-C727C7, WMID-170EB0, WMID-9DD663 and WMID-AFFC26 and have been attributed to the Modern period (AD 1800 to AD 2000).

The obverse depicts a horned robed figure with both arms raised holding a snake or staff in left hand within a raised border. This may represent Cernunnos the Celtic horned god or similar. The hoop has been slightly distorted as a result of deposition and a slight nick is present to one side. The thimble was probably originally circular in cross-section, tapering towards the flat top though has now been compressed into an ovate section. The thimble is decorated with regular sub-circular pits in concentric rings from the centre of the crown towards the base and has a raised rim around the open end. The thimble is 22.1mm in height, 21.1mm in width, 0.8mm thick and weighs 2.9g.

TREASURE CASE : 2013 T905 Metal analysis: surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate silver content for the ring of 97%, with copper, tin, iron and gold also detected. 37 sherds of a handmade ceramic vessel of modern date. The sherds are from a hematite burnished ware vessel with an oxidized fabric. The inclusions are small, circular and light coloured (white) and are likely to be quartzite. Some ovate voids are present and the fabric is quite hard. Many of the sherds can be fitted together giving an estimated diameter of 14cm suggesting the vessel was a small and shallow bowl or dish. An incomplete cast lead fabric weight of modern date. The weight is circular with a flat rectangular cross-section. A small part of the weight has been lost to old worn breaks. There are two parallel perforations through which the weight would have been attached. The metal is a mid greyish-white colour and is worn. The weight is 33.8mm in diameter, 3.2mm thick and weighs 26.6g. Despite their resemblance to large plain buttons, that these objects are in fact weights used to weigh down the hems of curtains or the hems of ladies' dresses. They are still available to buy new today.
