A curvilinear copper-alloy coat hook or other furniture fitting, with a heron-like bird's head terminal. The attachment end is flared and rectangular with the remnants of an iron spike.Modern, 18th to 19th century. Fragments of such finds have in the past proved hard to identify, and so this example has been included on the database for illustrative purposes.
