A large flint blade core of later mesolithic date with a single striking platform, struck from a dark brown flint. The core is triangular in shape with parallel removal scars around half of its circumference. A patch of grey-brown cortex remains down one side. The other has a single large removal scar with battering damage and small flaked removals around the edge, running off it one side perpendicular to the striking platform and partially overlying it. This suggests a secondary use for the core, possibly as a hammer.

The butt of the adze is relatively unpatinated, with a tiny patch of cortex extant to the very tip of the butt, the rest of the dorsal cortex is completely removed by flaking, this face shows the flint to have originally been mid-grey, the other parts of the adze are now patinated a…

Incomplete, likely broken from a blade. The segment is 22.8 mm in length from the proximal end up to the point of breakage, which is marked by a clean break across the width. No cortex remains, and the blade segment is primarily a mid-to-light grey colour that is warm in tone. This may have been an attempt to make a shorter adze a damaged example, or a failed attempt to resharpen a blunt edge, it is clear that this piece was abandoned at this point. A fragment of a flint core of the Mesolithic/early Neolithic period dating to 10,000-3,500 BC. It has a conical shape and has been manufactured from a dark grey flint; it has one oval striking platform from which run long, narrow and parallel blade removal scars down the observe face. The reverse face has a bulb of percussion, hence the item is a fragment of a larger original core. No cortex is retained.

A complete flint Scraper of Mesolithic to Neolithic date (9000-2100 BC). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains two predominant negative scars, the proximal and distal ends are abruptly blunted. The left- and right-hand edges have rough semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is slightly concave due to single predominantly negative scar. The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake.

A debitage flint blade fragment of Mesolithic date, 9000 BC - 4000 BC. The proximal end is a snapped break. The distal end is an oblique snapped break. There is a double dorsal ridge and the tertiary blade is formed on dark brown flint. Sporadic removals from the right edge are probably too erratic to be retouch and are more likely to be edge damage. The blade fragment is 18.3mm long, 15.5mm wide and 3.2mm thick. 1.2g.

A possible chert core of possible Mesolithic date, 9000 BC - 4000 BC. It may also be a chert chunk. It is secondary, and white coloured, with cortex on one face. There are narrow blade removals from two faces at right angles to each other, leaving the core shaped like a quarter cone. It is 24.2mm long, 23.3mm wide and 13.2mm thick. 7.3g.

A complete Blunted Scraper/Blade of Mesolithic to Neolithic date (9,000-2,100 BC). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex section. The dorsal surface is predominantly flat and has long parallel flaking and a large amount of retained cortex along the distal and left-hand edges. There is a notched aspect in the distal right-hand edge, the remainder of the edge has semi abrupt retouch. The proximal end has been blunted. The ventral surface is slightly convex with deep ripples of percussion emanating from the distal end. The lithic retains a large amount of cortex and …
