A complete flint tranchet axehead of probable Early Mesolithic date (10000 BC-7000 BC). The pick is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section. It has probably been made from an elongated flint pebble. There is buff cortex on one side and part of the dorsal face. The ventral face has been knapped overall.
