A retouched secondary flake, possibly a horseshoe scraper with retouch visible on both the dorsal and ventral sides. The tool appears to have battered edges all around it. The flint is a brown-grey in colour and the bud is still present on the ventral surface, although it has been partially removed by retouch. This tool measures 30.20mm long, 20.87mm wide and is 8.12mm thick. It weighs 6.9gms.

A collection debitage consisting of 24 bladelets dating to the Mesolithic period (10,000-4001 BC). They are in varying sizes and varying stages of preperation. They are broadly rectangular in plan with a trapezoidal cross section., although the less-fine examples have a triangular cross section. All of the bladelets are on a mottled blue-grey flint many with a white patina forming. Seceral examples are in the early stage of preperation, retaining a small area of cortex. The pieces vary in soze from 33.5mm long x 14.4mm wide down to 16.4mm long x 7.2mm wide.

A collection of 48 flint debitage pieces (bladelet material) of varying size, shape and colour, dating from the Mesolithic to early Neolithic period (c. 10,000 - 3501 BC). The collection consists of mainly blade or bladelet shaped pieces and flakes with a few broken blades and small chips. Most of the bladelets have a triangular cross section. None are reworked. The flint material is generally a blue-grey with white or grey patina. Cortex survives on about 25% of the pieces. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

A collection of 89 flint debitage pieces of varying size, shape and colour, dating from the Mesolithic to Neolithic period (c. 10,000 - 2350 BC). The collection consists of flakes and blade-like pieces and chunks, mostly undiagnostic but considering the rest of the assemblage probably of Mesolithic or Neolithic date. Most of the pieces are made on a blue-grey flint, some with white or grey patina. Cortex survives on about 10% of the pieces. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

Four bladelet cores dating to the Mesolithic period (c. 10,000-4,000 BC). Three out of the four cores appear complete; one has suffered post-depositional damage. The three complete examples all have flat platforms and multiple single direction bladelet removals. The cores are worked in such a way as to create a cone-shaped core. The removals are long and thin, producing bladelets that could be fashioned into other tools, such as microliths. A blade-like flake, possibly a core rejuvination flake (debitage) dating to the prehistoric period, possibly the Mesolithic period. The secondary flake is made on a brown flint with the lateral edges showing some recortication. There are several long thin removals on the dorsal side. There is a post-depositional break at the proximal end which has removed any evidence of the bulb or platform, although some radiating fracture lines can be seen. Sixteen (16) fragments of debitage and/or waste flakes with a combined weight of 17gms. Most have a whitish or bluish-white patina covering a grey core, suggesting a chalk downland source, possible towards the Ridgeway. A tabular scraper with retouch only evident on the distal surface. The flint orange-brown in colour and retains cortex on the distal surface, although there is no patina. This is an unusual flint as there is a ?natural hole through the centre of the scraper which appears to pre-date the retouching – this hole has re-cortified, and with the tabular retouching the artefact at first looks like a spindle whorl. A side-scraper made on a secondary flake with c.40% cortex remaining. There is one flake scar removal on the distal surface, while retouch is evident only on one dorsal edge. A total of eight (8) primary flakes removed during core preperation. Two display hinge fractures, and all have bulbs of percussion. No additional working or retouch is evident. The combined weight of these primary flakes is 52.1gms. These fragments would normally be difficult to date should they have been found in isolation, but the associated lithic implements suggest that they date from the late Mesolithic to the Neolithic periods (6500 - 2100 BC). As with the majority of the assemblage, the grey-blue core and white cortex suggests a chalk downland origin as the flint source.

A large snub-nosed borer made from a flint with a dark grey core and dark brownish orange outer. No cortex remains. The bulb has been removed, while retouch is evident around all edges. There are also removals on the 'nose' end of the borer tip. This tool may have been hafted into a wooden or bone handle and used either by hand or with a bow-drill. This object is hard to date, but is probably Mesolithic to Neolithic in date. The tool measures 38.47mm long and weighs 9.2gms. The width of the tool is 25.53mm at the shoulders, reduced to 9.51mm at the bore tip.

A possible 'thumbnail' type scraper, made from a pebble rather than from a flint nodule core. There is the suggestion of some limited retouch on the tip on both sides. The patina on this object is even all over and a possible Mesolithic date is suggested. The scraper measures 33.19mm long, 27.47mm wide and its thickness ranges from 5.90mm to 13.25mm. It weighs 11.5gms.
