A flint flake, probably a burin, of probable Mesolithic date, 10000 BC - 4000 BC. It is formed on a secondary flake of opaque light grey flint with cortex surviving on the left edge of the distal end. It is sub-oval in plan, with several removal scars on the dorsal face making it oval in cross-section. There is a burin spall removal from the distal end along the ventral face at the right hand side. The burin is formed at the proximal end with a lateral removal along the left side of the burin point from the proximal end towards the left side of the flake. The dorsal face has invasive working along the aris struck from the distal end. A spur projecst at the right proximal corner. The right side of this is shaped by a long removal from the proximal end. A flint multi functional tool, a burin and cutting edge formed on a primary flake of tan coloured flint.
