This is a core rejuvenation flake, at the top of the flake is remnants of a prepared platform. The dorsal has a prominent off-centre ridge running down its length, the flake removal taken from one direction.  The ventral side has a large bulb of percussion at the base. The flint is covered in a creamy patina with grey patches.

This is a core rejuvenation flake, at the top of the dorsal is remnants of a prepared platform with multiple short, direct flaking scars. The rest of the surface is covered in long, thin flaking scars that have been removed from one angle, the ventral side has a large bulb of percussion. The flint is covered in a creamy patina with darker patches.

Core rejuvenation flake that has three long thin blade removal scars on the front and right face, each has a negative bulb of percussion at its top edge where there is a prepared platform at the top. The left side retains its cortex. On the reverse is a single large concave flaking scar. The flint is covered in a patchy creamy speckled grey patina with dark brown flint in the areas that have been chipped (natural damage). This is a core rejuvenation flake from the top of a Late Mesolithic blade core.

Core Mesolithic-Late Neolithic Length 102mm, width 60mm, thickness 43mm The core is rhombus shaped in plan. The top is slightly wider than the base, there are multiple striking platforms around the top, there is also a striking platform at the base. The flaking scars are wide and most run the length of the flint, running from the top to the bottom with the exception of two. Extremely dark bluish/grey patina with grey mottling throughout. 8 cores Mesolithic - Neolithic Sizes range from 41mm long, 28mm wide, 19mm thick to mm by 22mm by 20mm by 10mm. The objects are sub-cylindrical with a sub-oval section. There are long thin linear flaking scars that run down the length of the artefacts over most if not all of the surfaces. One has an off white/light grey patina, one has a dark grey/blue patina the others have a light grey/blue patina. Six has the remains of the creamy colour cortex on its surface. Because of the long flaking scars it is most likely that they all date to the Late Mesolithic.…
