Knapped flint secondary blade with retouch creating two notches possibly as a preliminary to making a microlith. The proximal end, with the bulb of percussion, has already been removed, probably for the same purpose. The percussion ripploes remain on the ventral face thought the bulb is removed. It is broadly triangular in plan, thickening at the distal end, with aris running down the centre of the dorsal face and scars suggesting previous parallel blade removals from the same platform. There is a small patch (less than 5%) of cortex at the distal end. The edges are chipped all the…

Proximal end of a snapped blade with retouch along the distal end, Mesolithic in date. The bulb of percussion and a bulb scar remains at the proximal end of the ventral face. Small area of short semi-abrupt retouch at the proximal of the right edge on the dorsal face. The distal end has been snapped with a notch from the left edge taking up about a third of the width. The remainder of the snap has been retouched with short, semi-abrupt retouch, creating a straight edge ending in a point at the distal right corner (seen form the dorsal face) . The flint is translucent mid-grey. It meas…

Small Mesolithic tertiary piece with areas of retouch. It is triangular, widening towards the distal end where it ends in a snap. It has a small bulb of percussion on the ventral face. It has short, semi-abrupt scalar retouch down the left edge on the ventral face including one notch. On the distal end there is abrupt short scalar retouch across half the end, presumably a notch that was then snapped. Medium grey-brown flint with paler mottling. It is 25.4mm long, 12.3mm wide and 3.0mm thick; it weighs 0.83 grams.
