Four blades of varying lengths and thicknesses of later Mesolithic date (4000 -3000 BC). The sections of the blades vary, some are triangular (crested) whilst others are flatter lentoid shaped. All have multiple linear facets on the dorsal faces and conchoidal fractures on the ventral. Some are snapped, others still possess their bulbs of percussion / striking platforms. These two pieces have been knapped from poor quality flint / chert they have multiple flake scars on their dorsal faces and conchoidal ripples on the ventral. None have been reworked / retouched. From the style of flaking a late Mesolithic date is suggested. The larger of the two may be a core fragment as it has parallel multiple flake facets. Bulk weight: 7.67 grams
