A complete knapped lithic implement of Mesolithic date, c.7000 - 4000 BC. The implement is a flint microlith formed of a tertiary flake which is sub-rectangular in plan and D-shaped in section. The ventral surface is smooth and flat. The dorsal surface has a prominent ridge and displays short, parallel, semi-abrupt retouch along the right edge. The flint is mid-grey in colour. The implement is 15.8mm long, 5.9mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighs 0.2g. Microliths are small objects which would have been set into wooden or bone handles to make composite tools such as spears and arrows.
