A complete knapped lithic implement of Mesolithic date, c.7000 - 4000 BC. The lithic is a flint microlith formed of a tertiary flake which is sub-rectangular in plan and triangular in section. The ventral surface is smooth and flat. The dorsal surface has a prominent ridge and displays short, parallel, semi-abrupt retouch on the right edge. The flint is light whitish-grey in colour. The implement is 20.5mm long, 6.1mm wide, 2.8mm thick and weighs 0.3g. Microliths are small objects which would have been set into wooden or bone handles to make composite tools such as spears and arrows.
