A flint core. A single platform bladelet core of irregular shape, but tending towards conical. Made from a piece of dark grey pebble flint with a glossy, mottled blue-white patina. There is some abraded iron-stained cortex remaining. The rest of the "conical" surface is covered in multiple converging bladelet removal scars. The flakes have been removed from a single platform. The edges of the core show signs of deliberate platform edge abrasion. Date: Mesolithic- Neolithic - c. 10000 - 2350 BC Dimensions: 24.91 mm x 32.38 mm x 28.43 mm Weight: 27.98 g

A flint core with two opposing platforms. Mid grey highly siliceous flint with occasional oval patches of less siliceous lighter grey flint. There is an area of abraded nodule cortex at one side.The core is angular with numerous, small, parallel flake removals from both the opposed platforms. Both platforms have beed formed by the removal of transverse flakes.The surface has a glossy patina.
