Copper alloy buckle. A small cast single looped buckle frame with an expanded outer edge with knops at either end of a slightly constricted bar, perhaps marking loss of a separate roller, and with a narrowed and offset strap bar. A plain buckle plate of thickness 0.5mm, markedly narrower behind, bears two drilled holes: one for the protrusion of a square-section pin and the other, at the inner end, to attach the ends of the buckle plate to each other and to the strap [lost]. An incomplete medieval copper alloy single loop buckle, dating from c. AD 1250-1400. The buckle frame is D shaped, and D shaped in cross section. On the outer frame a single collared knop projects from the centre. The pin bar is recessed. The pin bar is oval in cross section. It has a dark green patina, and measures 23.6mm in length, 15.1mm in width, and 2.91g in weight. A similar buckle can be seen in Whitehead 1996, page 21 number 85.

A complete Medieval copper-alloy buckle dating to circa AD 1250-1400. The buckle consists of rectangular-sectioned frame with a narrowed and offset strap bar. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy buckle or strap slide of Medieval date, about AD 1300 - 1400. Only the outer edge survives, with a collared knop. It would have been stirrup shaped. Length: 11.8mm Width: 13.62mm Thickness: 3.9mm Weight: 1g Compare SWYOR-491895. This strap slide can be compared to Cassels type 1.5C buckles, and Egan and Pritchard (1991), no. 421, which is from a late 14th-century context. The fragment could be from a buckle or a strap slide.

An complete copper alloy double looped Medieval asymmetrical buckle dating from AD 1350 to 1450. One of the loops is oval and the other is rectangular in form and smaller.  Both faces of the buckle are flat.  No pin is present and the buckle has a dark grey patina. It is 18.1mm long, 27.6mm wide and 2.2mm thick. It weighs 1.8.g. Compare YORYM-AEFE74. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.87, number 540 and is dated to about AD 1350 - 1450.

A near complete cast copper-alloy buckle plate of Medieval date. The plate is triangular, flat and bent out of shape across the mid-point. At one end are two sub-rectangular tabs with a recess between for a pin.  The upper edges of the tabs are broken but curve slightly. At the opposite end of the plate is a tip with a missing point. A copper alloy Medieval buckle plate of probable medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1400. It is rectangular, shorter than it is wide, and folded round the bar of a copper alloy buckle frame of which only the bar survives. The sheet plate has a rounded attachment end and a slot for the missing pin. There are two dome headed copper alloy rivets at the attachment end.  Measurements are; length 15.5mm, width 19.0mm, thickness 4.5mm and weight 3.18g.

An incomplete late Medieval cast copper-alloy double loop rectangular buckle frame, dating to c.1350-1500. D-shaped cross section frame, being bevelled both inside and outside of the face, with a flat reverse. One rectangular loop remains, with most of the other missing. Another small rectangular loop extends out adjacent to the central strap bar. Probably a sword belt fitting. Length 31.6mm, width 27.3mm, thickness 3.1mm, weight 6g. An incomplete copper alloy Buckle of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1450-1600). The object is a double loop oval buckle with cusped/serrated outer edges. The outer edges have six fileted grooves on each loop (forming cusps) with incised lines across each. The frame narrows at the ends of the strap bar, the wire pin is missing, however there is iron corrosion adhering around the bar and one end of the frame, suggesting that the pin was composed of iron. The frame is curved and thickens at the outer edge, where there is also a transverse groove or depression, acting as a pin rest. There is a knopped moulding at either end of the strap bar. D-shaped cast metal plate with small spurs at its outer edge where a slot was positioned between constricted tabs – a further extent of similar form is presumably lost - representing the back of the plate. An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle of medieval date (c.AD 1400-1500). The buckle would have been sub-rectangular in plan when completed, however much of the frame on one of the loops has been lost, the other remains entirely intact. The buckle is decorated on ither side of the bar as well as at the centre of the pin rest with a moulded decoration that takes the same of two curvilinear lines intersected by a pellet.
