Fragment of a medieval pottery aquamanile in hard reduced sandy lead-glazed ware: the spout is in the form of a dog's head and collared neck with the impressed details of eyes, teeth and nostrils. The ears survive only as stubs and are surrounded by dots within grooves that extend down between the eyes to form a loop filled with dots. The head has been inserted into the neck, which would have formed part of the main body during manufacture. The collar is formed from an applied strip. Medieval handle grey fabric, red slip, green glaze salt pitted 14th - 15th centuryAD. Find recovered after Cumbrian floods the find is abraded and unlikely to be associated with uncovered structures on the floodplain adjacent to and probably associated with a Roman fort. A series of structures are indicated. The length is 78mm, the width is 30mm, the thickness is 15mm and the weight is 51.57g.

This is a medieval rim sherd of possible Malvernian glazed ware. This sherd has the typical red/grey colouration of the ware with the remnant of a fine green/yellow glaze just visible on the exterior surface. The material has rock or grit type filling, along with abundant small quartz particles, typical of the type. There are clear lines from the wheel-thrown process but no sign of decoration on this sherd.

A complete wheel-made vessel, date as yet unknown but probably post-medieval, possibly 16th - 18th century. The vessel is a large storage jar, part glazed (green) from the waist up - the lower half is unglazed. The vessel has two looped handles adhering to the rim and the neck - these are also glazed green. A thin yellow glaze continues a little way inside the vessel, where it changes to a clear glaze, almost as if there are layers of glazing.
