An incomplete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped uckle (c. 1350-c. 1650). The pin is missing. This buckle is moulded at the front and flat at the rear. The oval loops are similar in size. At the front the outside edges have a scrolled vegetal design. The bar is triangular in cross-section. This buckle frame has a green patina with flecks of black lacquer. Length: 35.8mm; width: 28.6mm; thickness: 3.3mm. Weight: 6.05g. Similar buckles have been published (Whitehead 2003: 53). An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy buckle with a separate copper-alloy folded sheet plate (c. 1270-c. 1450). The frame is a Meols type 4. The pin and part of the folded plate is missing. The copper-alloy frame is oval in plan with a narrowed off-set bar. In cross-section the frame is mainly 'D'-shaped and is flat at the rear.
