A Medieval cast copper alloy composite strap end with a forked spacer. The strap end has a concave attachment end with circular knotch in the centre and two rivets either side. There is a lozenge shaped knop on the bottom. The strap end is 43.3mm long, 18.1mm wide, 4.7mm thick and weighs 13.2 grams.
Composite strap ends with a forked spacer date to c.1270-1400 AD.

A small cast copper-alloy buckle now missing its pin. The buckle is of the double loop oval type and is undecorated. The reverse of the buckle is flat while the obverse is moulded. The artefact is worn with a green patina. It measures 18.0mm length x 21.6mm width x 3.1mm thick and weighs 2.69g.
As Whitehead (1996, 52) states, undecorated buckles of this form are undiagnostic and could date from either the medieval or post-medieval periods (c.1250-1650 AD).

A medieval lead alloy seal matrix. It is circular with now heavily corroded perpendicular attachment loop at the top. The centre of the matrix is a fleur de lis, surrounded by the legend S' GALFRIDI . MVI (or L)ChE (Seal of Geoffrey Muiche or Mulche). The AL and the FR of Galfridi are both ligated. It measures 36.5mm length x 33.4mm width x 9.8mm thick and weighs 27.26g.
It is likely to date from the 13th century AD.

An incomplete worked bone plate with rivet holes. Possibly a medieval comb plate. The object is rectangular with bowed in long sides. It has 11 remaining rivet or attachment holes (c. 3mm diameter), six of which are filled with rolled cylinders of copper alloy sheet. The upper surface is smooth with stepped long sides. The reverse is rougher and shows the original cavity inside of the bone. One end of the object is broken diagonally; the break is old and worn. The object measures 130.0mm length x 24.5mm width x 7.0mm thick and weighs 30.03g.

A medieval copper alloy single loop D-shaped buckle. The frame has an off-set pin bar, with the drawn wire pin still attached. The buckle is 14.3mm wide x 11.2mm long x 2.3mm thick and weighs 1.1g.
A similar example in Whitehead (1998, ref. 54) is dated to c. 1250 to 1500 AD.

A medieval cast copper alloy spindle whorl or weight. The object is circular in plan and elliptical in cross section. There is a small hole travelling through the centre 3.4mm in diameter. The upper surface of the object has been decorated with incised concentric rings with linear decorations in between. The object is 37.1mm in diameter x 17.2mm thick and weighs 51.6g.
The patination and decoration of the object suggests a broadly medieval date of c. 1200 to 1500 AD.

An incomplete medieval gilded and enamelled copper alloy harness fitting, either a hook or banner style, dating late 13th - 14th century. The decorative section of the fitting is lozenge shaped, and enamelled on both sides. One side has blue enamel panels in a chequeboard formation (lozengy), alternating with the gilded metal; the other face is recessed with fragments of red enamel apart from five rectangles, one central and one in each angle which again are gilded copper alloy (billety). An incomplete medieval cast copper alloy horse harness pendant hanger mount. The mount has a horizontal bar with a rounded knop projecting from both ends. Before these knops the bar widens slightly and circular attachment holes are separated from the bar by double cusps. From the centre of the bar a U shaped suspension device extends downwards; one half of this extension is broken but the remaining arm is in the form of a lug with a central piercing. The reverse of the mount is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn.

A medieval enamelled copper alloy shield-shaped harness pendant. On the upper surface of the pendant is an engraved rampant lion. Flecks of red enamel survive within the lion. The reverse is blank. On the top edge of the shield is an attachment loop at a right angle to the pendant.
Nick Griffiths dates shield shaped pendants with enamelling to c. 1250- 1400 AD (Clark et al. 1995, 62).

A probable medieval copper alloy dagger or knife pommel or end cap. It is sub-cuboid, with angled sides which create two opposing trapezoidal faces. On the inner face of the pommel is an integral attachment 'tang' or spike. None of the rest of the object survives. The pommel is covered in a thick green-grey patina, measures and weighs.
The patination and uneven shape suggests a medieval date (c.1200-1500 AD).
