Thick flan and apparently miss-spelt moneyer - possibly indicates a contemporary copy of Walter of Canterbury of whom Class 5 copies do exist (see North 1995, BNJ 65, 97).

A copper alloy Medieval or Post-Medieval cooking vessel leg. It is sub-triangular in cross-section with a slight longitudinal ridge running down the centre of one face. There are traces of sooting on both faces from where it came into contact with the fire. It's heavily corroded condition and small size makes it difficult to date more precisely. Length: 25.03mm, width: 27.39mm, thickness: 11.31mm, weight: 28.29g
