A copper alloy and iron handle probably from a knife of medieval or post-medieval date. The core of the object is iron with an oval cross section measuring 16mm in width and 16mm thick. Surmounting the top of the iron is a worn moulded figure. The figure is holding something small, possibly a baby or a lamb and has its head resting on the top of the baby/animal's head. The figure appears to be seated with one leg crossed over the other. At the rear of the figure drapery suggests a dress or coat. An incomplete iron horseshoe of probable medieval to post-medieval date, (1100-1800). The object is a typical U-shape in plan and is almost complete. The calkins are rounded and worn. The number and location of the nail holes cannot be determined due to corrosion. Cf. Clark, J, 2004, The Medieval Horse and its Equipment, Museum of London Press, London, p. 86 - 89. A fragment comprising the neck and heel of a medieval iron rowel spur. The neck, which bifurcates to take the missing rowel, measures 7mm across at the break. A cast iron axe probably dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. The blade of the axe is sub-oval in plan and measures 62.41mm in width. The cutting edge measures 4.90mm thick and is split due to corrosion. The butt of the axe is oval in cross-section. The object has a simple oval socket which is in filled with corrosion and probable wood. The object widens slightly at the socket. The socket mesures 17.39mm wide and 26.65mm in length internally. A cast iron horseshoe dating from the late Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. The circular horseshoe was used to give extra support at the heel for orthopaedic reasons and is not diagnostic of date. The nail holes for the shoe to be attached to the horses hoof are corroded over and can not be ascertained. The shoe is sub-oval in plan and arches slightly inwards at one end. The object is in poor condition due to corrosion.

Incomplete forged iron arrowhead dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The object is leaf shaped in plan. The object is oval in cross-section with incomplete narrowed wings on either side. The object is a tanged example. No midrib is present. The tip of the object is rounded and was damaged in antiquity. Similar examples which can be found on the database is LANCUM-DC67D1 and LIN-E59C40.

Hand forged iron axe dating to the Medieval period. The axe has a triangular socket and flared blade. W.L Goodman (The History of Woodworking Tools, 1964) suggests axes of this shape are uncommon in the medieval period (although popular in illustrations). They come into use in the late Medieval period and continue through to the 19th century for general purpose domestic use. The object is corroded and has a reddish brown patina. Cast iron axe probably dating from the Medieval to the Post-Medieval period. The object consists of the blade and part of the butt of the object. The base of the blade is flat while the upper half flares upwards. The cutting edge is 3mm thick. The butt has broken however the shaft hole appears to have been tear-shaped. The object is very corroded and therefore can not be dated more accurately. It has a rough orange brown patina.

Cast iron knife handle dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is sub-rectangular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The object widens towards the terminal which is rounded. Both of the surfaces are covered with a plate which has been silvered or tinned. The plate is divided into three panelled sections. Medieval iron woodman's axehead. The axehead has a crescentic cutting edge and a flat butt. The shaft hole is tear shaped. The width of the axe head expands from the butt (width: 54.29mm) to the curved cutting edge (width: 130.63mm). It shows signs of corrosion and has a rough reddish brown patina.

Cast iron object of probable medeival date. It is sub-rectangular in plan, and rectangular in section. It has a tapering tang which would have been inserted into a handle. The tang is broken at the tip. The point of the object has been broken and it shows signs of corrosion. It was possibly used as a chisel or a file however it's function is unclear.
