Single saltire punctuation on obverse and double saltire punctuation on reverse. Reverse also bears a single annulet after 'POSVI' and one in the central pellets. No reverse initial mark. North N1429.

One of two silver Medieval English groats, discovered a distance of 3-4 feet from one another. The coins are described by Julian Baker of the Heberden Coin Room, The Ashmolean Museum, as follows:
(1) AR Groat, Henry VI, First Reign, 1422-61, annulet issue 1422-7, Calais mint. Obv. Bust of Henry facing, annulets to left and right of neck. Rev. Long cross, annulets in two quarters of reverse. 26mm, 3.68g. Ref: Spink, Coins of England, no. 1836.
2) AR Groat, Henry IV, 1399-1413, light coinage 1412-3, London mint. Obv. Bust of Henry facing, annulet or pellet to left …
