A late-Medieval or early Post-Medieval silver-gilt finger ring, dating to the period c. AD 1450 to 1550. Description: The hoop is circular in shape and approximately hemispherical in section with a circumferential rib and groove. The ring's hoop possesses alternating diagonal bands of decoration marked out with double incised lines. They comprise horizontal rows of incised dots, flanked by plain panels. A copper-alloy finger ring dating to the twelfth to fifteenth centuries. The finger ring possesses a circular-section hoop extending to a pointed bezel, with an oval setting. The stone is missing from the setting. A similar finger ring is illustrated in Egan and Pritchard 1997, p. 326, no. 1609. The external diameter of the finger ring is 23mm, the internal diameter is 18mm. The hoop has a width of between 1mm and 2mm. The setting is 3mm in diameter.

A copper-alloy finger ring dating to the fifteenth century AD. The finger ring possesses an oval band which is hemispherical in section. The band expands to form widened shoulders supporting an integral, flat, oval engraved bezel. The bezel is decorated with a hexagonal incised border within which there is a stylised incised 'W' surmounted by a crown. A copper-alloy 'stirrup'-shaped finger-ring dating to the twelfth to fifteenth century AD. The hoop is slender and D-shaped in section and is broken. It rises to a pronounced bezel with an oval setting for a stone. The setting is empty, except for the remains of adhesive or solder. The depressions in this substance suggest there were two circular stones set in the bezel. This ring is similar to examples from London (Egan and Pritchard 1991: 326, refs: 1608, 1609).
