A fragment of a copper-alloy buckle plate dating to the thirteenth or fourteenth century AD. The fragment is rectangular in plan and possesses three evenly-spaced circular perforations to accommodate rivets. The upper surface of the plate is decorated with a moulded circumferential rib. The underside is plain. At the end where the buckle frame would have been attached, there are two rectangular extensions flanking a semi-circular cut-out. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle frame and plate dating to the thirteenth or fourteenth century AD. The plate comprises a rectangular sheet of copper-alloy which has been bent over at one end to secure the frame. Cream textile appears to be sandwiched between the two pieces of plate. At each end of the plate, there is a circular piercing. The one closest to the frame is empty; the other is filled with a circular-section copper-alloy rivet. The frame is rectangular in plan and section and is incomplete. The buckle measures 35mm in length, 15mm in width and 3mm in thickness.

It possesses two circular perforations, one of which is filled with a small, circular-section rivet. At one end, the plate extends to form two rectangular lugs flanking a central rectangular cut out, all that remains of the attachment mechanism for the buckle frame. The plate measures 33mm in length, 12mm in width and 1mm in thickness.

At the other end, the frame extends to a body which comprises two waisted ovals, which are hemispherical in section. The first oval possesses a circular perforation. Remants of gilding are visible around the piercing. The object measures 29mm in length, 12mm in width and a maximum of 4mm in thickness.

The pin which comprises a strip of tapering copper-alloy remains looped around the strap bar. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 17mm in length, 26mm in width, 3mm in thickness and weighs ??g. Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead (1996), p.19 and are dated to circa AD 1250 - 1500.

An incomplete, copper-alloy single loop buckle with integral oval frame and forked spacers dating to the period c.AD 1350 to 1450. The buckle has a single-looped oval frame with a projecting lip to the outer edge. From the opposite side of the loop an integral forked spacer extends, each arm flanking a narrowed pin bar, with a copper-alloy wire pin, looped around this pin bar. The arms of the forked spacers taper in width to a blunted point. The buckle measures 25mm in length, 19mm in width and weighs 2.72g.
