A fragment of a cast copper alloy branched double socket candlestick. Only a fragment of the candlestick branch remains. The branch, in plan is a wide ‘V’ shape, and the branch is a pointed oval with rounded edges in section. The width of one branch expands slightly in width, whereas the other branch tapers slightly in width. The surface of the branch has a mottled mid green/grey patina. A probable cast copper alloy cooking vessel foot. In plan it is a sub-rectangle with an asymmetrical rounded foot. In profile the reverse of the leg is straight whereas the front face is slightly domed and undulating. In section the leg is an elongated semi-circle. The upper edge of the leg is broken, this may not be a recent break. The surface has traces of a heavy grey/green patina, but the surface has possibly been over cleaned. A handle fragment of a ceramic vessel, possibly a jug. The handle is rectangular in plan, with both terminals being broken and it is curved in profile. The fabric is orange throughout and has frequent small white quartz inclusions. It is slightly micaceous. The exterior surface has traces of a red slip with traces of a mottled green/yellow glaze. The sherd weighs 26.54g. The fabric is probably Malvernian Ware dating to the late 13th to 15th centuries. Refer to www.worcestershireceramics.org.

An incomplete cast copper alloy oval buckle. The apex of the buckle frame remains. This apex is a sub-rectangle in plan which is expanded and decorated on the upper surface with wide transverse and oblique grooves. In section the apex is an elongated semi-circle. A cast copper alloy buckle has a D-shaped frame with an integral spacer and seperate plates. The buckle frame is a sub 'D' shape in plan. On the outer edge of the apex, there is a small knop which is triangular in section. The outer surface of the frame is obliquely angled, whereas the reverse is flat. The pin is missing. An impersonal Medieval seal matrix. The matrix is a pyramid type, made from cast copper alloy which has then been engraved. In plan the matrix base is circular. The reverse of the matrix has a hexagonal sectioned stem which terminates with lozenge shaped lug with a circular perforation at the centre. The base of the matrix has a border of fine oblique grooves, similar to feathering. Within this border there is, in a row, a; branch, y and cruciform cross. A cast copper alloy coin weight. The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in section with rounded corners. The weight is uniface, decorated with a heavily abraded ship with a large shield on the side. The weight has patches of a shiny mid green patina. It measures 17mm diameter and weighs 5.5g. The use of round weights with representations of a coin were used in the 15th century (Biggs, N. 1992 English Weights: An Illustrated Survey White House Publications p. 26). The size of the weight is similar to that for a ryal (Biggs:27).
